California’s Death Valley National Park is predicted to be celebrating a super special spring this year. The “hottest place on earth” is being transformed from “being a valley of death to being a valley of life,” Park Ranger Alan Van Valkenburg said in a national parks video. It is very rare to see a “Super Bloom” occur, which requires the perfect conditions and heavy rains; it only occurs maybe once every decade. The time to go is now, to see the brilliant yellow colors of the Desert Gold flowers. Take a road trip and enjoy a free guided walk from the National Park Service starting at Furnace Creek Visitor Center. They even have a live map of the blooming areas here.
